224 This book more than all the rest touches my heart the most. One of the most important differences, if not the most important in Buddhist Practice, is to achieve an experience of the transcendent, not simply follow what someone else says they did and how they got there/here; it's "from there, to here, not from here to there. I don't remember in any of Jack's writings where he shared one of the most "important" experiences a human being can have in spiritual practice. After all this time I feel it's perfect for him to do so even though the teachings forbid sharing personal experiences because it can lead to more ego rather than the transcending of ego; the danger is well documented throughout all practices of this nature. But now, after so much time has past, for him to share such an experience as he has done in this book, all I can say is thank you Dr. Kornfield for all you have done, especially now.
